MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES: Our Platform
ACCESS+
Access+ is an integral part of the Fast Chart experience, providing instant secure viewing of transcriptions and patient information in a GUI format from any Internet-enabled (Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher) or networked PC.
Access+ is a browser-based application and does not require software to be loaded on the desktop. In addition to viewing the medical transcription report, authorized system users are able to listen to the physician voice file if it is integrated into the online transcription system. Using the 'View Versions' activity, authorized users are presented with a list of each version of a report, showing the version number, editor ID, time, date and author. From here users can select one version at a time to view and listen to the voice file (if integrated).
All viewing screens provide security and audit tracking standards that meet or exceed JCAHO, CMS (HCFA) & HIPAA regulatory requirements.
Access+ restricts or allows viewing by user profile permissions, which are administered by facility-selected personnel such as the HIM Director or Security Officer. An audit trail of all viewing is available, which includes other activities related to the particular digital transcription document including all instances of listening, editing, printing, faxing, downloading and signing. Audit logs of transcription report access include: 1) User ID, 2) Workstation ID, 3) Device name, 4) Date and time of activity, 5) Mode (type of activity) and 6) Document ID or Job Number involved. Viewing permissions is configurable by facility and by department.
DISTRIBUTE+
Distribute+ is an integral part of the Fast Chart experience and provides advanced routing of transcription reports to printers and fax machines on the facility network and at physician offices.
In addition to printing on a single printer within the HIM department or sending reports to a folder, Fast Chart provides convenience and timesavings with advanced routing. Remote printing to nursing units saves time and telephone calls for inpatients. An electronic download feature is also provided. Distribution options are configurable by physician, by report type, by department, by type of routing (print or fax) to an unlimited number of destinations.
ELECTRONIC DOWNLOAD
Hospitals using the download feature may now provide digital transcription copies to healthcare providers such as radiology practices and physician groups.
Distribute+ allows authorized users to download selected online transcription reports from a secure (HTTPS) web site for local storage in folders within their own network. Using the download feature, physician group practices can move transcription reports into digital physician Medical Practice Management systems. Practices can initiate a download each morning to receive the prior days transcription reports. Multiple naming conventions are offered using patient name, job number, work type and other options to index files according to the physician practice's preference. Users can select to download all new reports or only specific jobs.
SIGN+
eSign+ is a browser-based physician digital authentication software, designed for physician efficiency with easy-to-use color screens and options for mouse or keyboard control.
eSign+ includes multi-line physician editing from the browser using the RTF word processor, eliminating the need to install and maintain MS Word. Physicians can access, edit and sign from any PC with an Internet (Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher) or network connection. Using the Fast Chart system and an integrated voice file, physicians may retrieve and listen to the original dictation voice file. eSign+ has been designed for superior speed in both the editing and signing modes to accommodate the priorities of physicians. Since no transcription software is loaded on a physician desktop, deployment is simple and the expense of MS Word is avoided.
eSign+ meets all regulatory requirements for JCAHO, CMS (HCFA), and HIPAA. eSign+, part of the Fast Chart platform, is especially popular with radiology and emergency department customers.
