Applied Medical Services Announces Launch of National Recruiting Campaign
Medical services company takes extra measures to keep medical transcription jobs in the US

Durham, NC – May 19, 2005 –Applied Medical Services, LLC., a leading provider of transcription services to private practices, emergency physician groups and hospitals, announced today a national campaign to recruit over a dozen domestically located  medical transcriptionists. 

Through an aggressive multi-vehicle recruiting campaign, the Fast Chart operating service division of Applied Medical Services is seeking out medical transcriptionists in the hospital acute care field.  Using direct mail, advertising and emarketing the company is looking to recruit seasonedprofessionals to join their team of over 80 medical transcriptionists.

The campaign to increase the company’s workforce is a direct result of new business with clients that recognize Applied Medical Services’ commitment to customer service and keeping work in the United States.

“In recent years, we’ve seen fewer people entering the medical transcription field, as companies are outsourcing medical transcription overseas.  The perception is that there is not enough work for transcriptionists, when in reality there are numerous opportunities,” says Michelle Durner, president of Applied Medical Services, LLC.  “We aim to uphold our unmatched reputation for providing quality service and quick turnaround while ensuring patient confidentiality and also fueling the US job market.”

As part of the company’s ongoing efforts to attract new talent, Applied Medical Services has partnered with TechSkills, an educational institution that provides training in areas such as medical transcription, coding and billing.  As part of the curriculum students must fulfill an internship, and Applied Medical Services provides interns opportunities to work on-site and gain hands-on experience. 

“It has been very rewarding to be a part of this program and help recruit new talent to the industry.  In fact, our first intern from TechSkills is now one of our full-time employees,” added Durner.
